u     Kingdom Fitness is based on Christian principles.   We are committed to recognising, valuing and promoting equality and diversity amongst all staff and students.   All staff and students will be treated with equal respect at all times   

u     Kingdom Fitness will not give preferential treatment to any person at any stage of the course, from the initial enquiry, through to the completion of the course.   It must be noted however that students with disabilities will only be able to receive the attendance certificate, as good health, strength and mental abilities are a requirement for all Life Enrichment Facilitators

u     Tutors will be employed according to subject qualifications, experience and ability to teach to an excellent standard; gender, colour, marital or parental status, political standing, social, economic or ethnic group will be of no concern

u     Personal harassment will not be tolerated at any time.   Sexist or racist behaviour or attitudes will be actively discouraged.   Any one displaying such unacceptable behaviour will be excluded from the course

Quality Assurance Statement

u     Kingdom Fitness is committed to providing an excellent training for voluntary and care workers that will benefit the student, the employer and the community

u     All course tutors will have, or be studying to gain, the Diploma for Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector, must register with the Institute for Learning and maintain their continuing professional development programme. 

u     All course tutors will have a high standard of achievement, demonstrated by their qualifications, experience and expertise

u     Nurse tutors will have good experience of, and be currently employed in, the care of older people

u     Exercise instructors will have good experience of, and be currently employed in teaching exercise to older people and will be entered at Level 4 on the Register of Exercise Professionals

u     First aid & CPR instructors will have an up to date First Aid at Work Certificate

u     All tutors will be required to maintain their own continuing professional development programme in teaching, exercise instruction and care skills in order to stay up to date with current advice and practice; evidence of this will be recorded in their personal files

u     All tutors will be observed while teaching by both internal and external assessors.  The giving of effective feed back will ensure that teaching remains at a high standard
